S’mores are dangerous. Dangerously good, that is. Gooey, toasty marshmallows on a bed of semi-melted chocolate, sandwiched between two crunchy, sweet graham crackers? Two words: drool fest.
Now I realize that some people may think them an undesirable dessert due to the gooey-sticky-messy factor, and to that I say “bah!” The messier the better! Bring it. But, if you are a more refined eater, check out these three great ways to prepare them that we found on the web this week. They’ll keep your pinkies clean and your tummy happy!
1. Gimme S’mores Brownies from Cake Scraps
If you’re ever in need of a super quick dessert, this is the ace in your pocket. It’s actually so easy that Carla’s 8 year-old daughter made it (though you can omit that part when people ask you about your awesome s’more brownie recipe).
2. How to Make S’mores Pops from Creating Couture Parties
These little guys up the danger factor for three reasons: a) they’re s’mores, b) they’re delicious and c) they’re bite-sized, which means you run the risk of inadvertently eating more than your fair share (but really, who’s counting, right?). They also have the potential to be a big hit at your next shower, birthday party or bbq!
3. Chocolate Soup with Fresh Cut Marshmallows from CPB Gallery
So yes, while this isn’t technically a s’mores recipe, I’m putting my own little spin on it to make it so. Kristina serves up a lovely chocolate soup recipe here that is every chocolate lovers dream dinner waiting to be slurped. Now, if you simply add some graham crackers for dipping, you’ve just made the best s’mores meal ever!
