When the snow is blowing outside, spend the day inside baking a blue winter cake with the kids!

Now that winter is in full force, there will be plenty of snow days ahead with kids at home hankering for fun projects. This triple-layered Vanilla Winter Cake with two hues of blue is accented with blue raspberry Gushers—the perfect stay-at-home baking activity for a snowy day.

The best part about this cake is that it’s simple to make and allows kids to help by mixing ingredients and colors, and decorating the cake with Gushers. (Kids won’t mind popping a few Gushers while making the cake, too.)

You’ll make two bowls of batter—these will be your multi-hued layers. Mix the cake batter with food coloring until you get the colors you want!

Then you’ll stack the blue cakes and frost in between the layers.

Frost the sides…

Decorate with Gushers and you’re ready for your party!

If you’re planning a child’s birthday during these winter months, this is a very fun and festive cake to make. Kids are sure to love the layered colors and the taste explosion of the Gushers, too!

And don’t forget to experiment—get the kids to try different ingredients, colors and flavors to see what tasty treats you can come up with!

For more party fun, make some tasty party favors the kids can wear—Gushers Ring Bling!
