We’re sharing the love with these cute Valentine’s Day treats that come together in 15 minutes!
I have a secret: my husband and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. We’d rather surprise each other throughout the year with fun and unexpected romantic gestures (besides, it’s easier to get a babysitter). However, I LOVE all the fun treats and goodies that go along with this special day and I always make sure that my kids get plenty of VDay fun.
This year, my 5 year old was determined to make a treat herself. Since she isn’t old enough to use the stove or oven, these Cupid’s Arrow Pretzel Sticks were the perfect idea for her! In fact, they’d be great to use for a school class party since the kids would have a fun activity AND snack. That’s two birds with one stone (or arrow!).
All you need are four simple ingredients: pretzel sticks, jelly hearts (the marshmallow ones work great, too), cotton candy and Betty Crocker Vanilla Icing.
Easy as 1-2-3: Simply push one pretzel end into a jelly heart, dip the other end in icing and add some cotton candy to make the “feathered” end.
Trivia time! Do you know what the feathered part of an arrow is called? Answer: fletching. I didn’t know it either and had to look it up. But my kids loved guessing what it was called…my favorite guess was “love fluff.”
After your Cupid’s Arrows are assembled, you can serve them right away or package them up for cute Valentine’s Treats.
